◆ 내년 1월 직매립 금지…지자체 민간 소각장 확보전 돌입

◆ 소각 단가 2배 급등…가격 경쟁 과열

지자체가 발주한 위탁 단가는 t당 20만~27만원 수준이다. 현재 소각 단가가 t당 14만원 선인 점을 감안하면 최대 2배 가까이 급등했다. 공공 소각장 용량이 포화상태인 시점에서 민간 소각장을 선점하려는 가격 경쟁이 과열 조짐을 보이고 있다. 기후환경에너지부는 수도권내 민간 소각장에 '관급 폐기물 우선 수용' 지침을 전파한 상태다.

◆ 민간 기업 폐기물 처리 공백 우려

도내 한 제조업체 관계자는 "공공 소각 물량이 쏟아지면 수도권에서 소각장을 찾기 어려워질 수밖에 없다"고 토로했다.

Price competition to preempt private incinerators is showing signs of overheating as public incinerator capacity is saturated. The Ministry of Climate, Environment and Energy has issued guidelines for private incinerators in the metropolitan area to 'prioritize government waste.'
