◆ 시의회가 직접 방문 실천

군포시의회(의장 김귀근)는 9일 산본로데오거리 착한가격업소 현주식당에서 점심을 먹었다. 현재 제285회 정례회를 진행하면서 2026년도 예산안을 심의하는 의원들의 회기 중 식사 응원이다. 이 같은 착한업소 응원 소비는 2024년 6월(제274회 정례회), 2025년 4월(제281회 임시회)에 이어 3번째다.

◆ 40곳 착한업소, 시민 인지도 낮아

군포시는 현재 40곳의 착한가격업소를 운영 중이다. 이길호 시의회 예결위원장은 "10월 말 기준으로 40곳이지만 시민 상당수가 모른다"며 "물가안정과 시민 외식비 절감에 기여하는 착한가격업소가 많이 알려지길 바라는 마음에 회기 중 식사 응원을 실행했다"고 설명했다. 시의회는 11일 점심과 회기 내 간식 구매를 통해 추가로 2곳을 방문할 계획이다.

◆ 조례 개정 후 '모범 실천'

이 실행은 2024년 4월 개정된 '군포시 착한가격업소 지원 및 관리에 관한 조례'의 실천이다. 조례는 착한가격업소 방문 이벤트와 월 1회 이상 이용 장려 조항을 신설했다. 이훈미 의원(대표 발의)은 "시의회가 모범을 보이는 것"이라며 "민생조례를 제·개정할 때마다 실효성 확립을 위해 시의회가 앞장서는 문화를 조성하겠다"고 강조했다.

Gunpo City Council (Chairman Kim Gwi-geun) had lunch at Hyunjoo Restaurant, a fair-price business on Sanbon Rodeo Street, on December 9th. Council members, currently holding the 285th Regular Session while deliberating the 2026 Gunpo City budget, conducted this meal support during the session. This fair-price business support consumption follows previous visits in June 2024 (274th Regular Session) and April 2025 (281st Extraordinary Session), marking the third instance.

◆ 40 Fair-Price Businesses; Low Public Awareness

Gunpo City currently operates 40 fair-price business establishments. Lee Gil-ho, Chairman of the Budget and Settlement Committee, stated: "As of late October, we have 40 establishments, but many citizens remain unaware. We conducted this session meal support with hopes that fair-price businesses contributing to price stability and reducing citizens' dining expenses become more widely known." The city council plans to visit two additional establishments through lunch on the 11th and snack purchases during the session.

◆ 'Model Practice' Following Ordinance Amendment

This action implements the "Gunpo City Fair-Price Business Support and Management Ordinance," amended in April 2024. The ordinance newly established clauses for fair-price business visit events and encouraging usage one or more times monthly. Councilor Lee Hun-mi (primary sponsor) emphasized: "The city council demonstrates a model approach. Each time we revise people-centered ordinances, the city council will lead in establishing a culture of effectiveness."
