◆ 시흥시 청년 엔지니어 육성사업 지방자치콘텐츠대상 수상

시흥시 청년 엔지니어 육성사업이 11월 27일 국회의원회관 대회의실에서 열린 '2025 인공지능 지자체 성장 포럼 및 지방자치콘텐츠대상'에서 경제·일자리 분야 우수 콘텐츠로 선정됐다. 한국지방행정연구원장상을 받았다.

지방자치콘텐츠대상은 대통령 직속 지방시대위원회와 행정안전부가 후원하고, 지방자치TV와 한국지방행정연구원이 공동 주관하는 행사다. 전국 지방자치단체 정책과 사례를 분야별로 평가해 수상하는 지방자치 정책 분야의 권위 있는 상이다.

◆ 지역 고교·대학·기업 유기적 연계로 청년 정착 선순환 구조 구축

시흥시와 경기도일자리재단은 올해부터 청년 엔지니어 육성사업을 공동 추진한다. 사업은 지역 제조업의 인력난을 해소하고 청년의 성장 기반을 강화한다. 지역고교·지역대학·지역기업 간 유기적 연계를 통해 청년이 지역에서 배우고, 취업하고, 성장하는 구조를 만든다.

◆ 구인 애로 해소하면서 우수 기술인재 지역 안착 추진

시흥시는 산업 현장의 구인 애로를 해소하면서 우수한 청년 기술인재를 지역에 안착시키는 모델로 사업을 지속 확대할 방침이다. 정호기 경제국장은 "시흥시의 청년 인재 육성 정책이 현장에서 실효성을 인정받았다"며 "지역 산업과 청년이 함께 성장할 수 있는 지속 가능한 지역 기반 일자리 정책을 발굴하고 추진하겠다"고 말했다.

◆ Siheung City Youth Engineer Program Wins Local Autonomous Governance Content Award

The Siheung City Youth Engineer Development Program was selected as excellent content in the economy and employment sector at the '2025 Artificial Intelligence Local Autonomous Governance Growth Forum and Local Autonomous Governance Content Awards' held November 27 at the National Assembly Members' Conference Hall. The program received the Korean Institute of Local Administration President Award.

The Local Autonomous Governance Content Awards, sponsored by the Presidential Committee for the Local Era and the Ministry of Interior and Safety, is jointly hosted by Local Autonomous Governance TV and the Korean Institute of Local Administration. The awards evaluate policies and cases from local governments nationwide by sector and recognize the most outstanding achievements in local government policy.

◆ Organic Cooperation Among Local High Schools, Universities and Companies Creates Sustainable Youth Settlement Structure

Siheung City and the Gyeonggi Provincial Jobs Foundation jointly launched the Youth Engineer Development Program this year. The initiative addresses chronic labor shortages in regional manufacturing while strengthening the growth foundation for young talent. Through organic cooperation among local high schools, universities and companies, the program creates a structure enabling youth to study, secure employment and grow within the region.

◆ Program Expands to Address Recruitment Challenges and Establish Quality Young Technical Talent in Local Areas

Siheung City plans to continuously expand the program as a model addressing industrial recruitment difficulties while establishing excellent young technical talent in local communities. Jeong Ho-ki, Director of Economic Affairs, said, "Siheung City's youth talent development policy has proven its effectiveness in the field," adding, "We will continue to develop and implement sustainable local job policies that enable regional industries and youth to grow together."

始兴市将继续扩大该事业，作为解决产业现场招聘困难、同时在地方安置优秀青年技术人才的模范。经济局长郑浩基表示："始兴市青年人才培养政策在现场得到了认可"，并表示"将持续发掘推进可持续的地方基础就业政策，实现地方产业与青年共同发展"。
