◆ 인천광역시교육청(교육감 도성훈)은 27일 인하대학교 의과대학에서 '닥터로드: 의사의 길을 만나다' 프로그램을 운영했다. 인천 지역 고등학교 보건동아리 소속 학생 40명이 참여했다. 교육청과 대학은 지난 7월 업무협약을 체결한 후 본 프로그램을 공동으로 설계하고 준비했다.

◆ 이날 교육 과정에 의사의 철학과 사명, 의학과 인공지능 활용, 기초의학·중개의학·사회의학 연구, 수술실 현장 방문, 의료진 협력 체계 이해, 면역항암제 연구, 동물실험 윤리 등 총 7개 분야 프로그램을 편성했다. 참여 학생 40명은 실습 중심 교육을 통해 의료 현장의 다양한 전문가 협력 과정을 직접 관찰했다. 학생들은 "의료현장에서 다양한 전문가가 협력하는 모습을 보며 진로에 대한 책임감과 동기를 얻었다"고 소감을 전했다.

◆ 이훈재 인하대학교 의과대학장은 "청소년들이 의료 현장을 직접 체험하며 지역 보건·의료 분야 인재로 성장하길 바란다"고 말했다. 인천시교육청 관계자는 "교육청과 대학 간 협력을 기반으로 학생들이 지역에서 미래 진로를 설계할 수 있도록 체험 교육을 지속 확대하겠다"고 밝혔다. 교육청과 대학은 내년에 더 많은 학생에게 참여 기회를 확대할 계획이다.

◆ Incheon Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Do Sung-hun) operated the 'Doctor's Road: Meeting the Path of a Doctor' program at Inha University School of Medicine on the 27th. Forty high school students from health club groups in the Incheon region participated. The Education Office and the university designed and prepared the program jointly following a memorandum of understanding signed in July.

◆ The educational curriculum included seven program areas: philosophy and mission of doctors, application of medicine and artificial intelligence, basic medicine, translational medicine, and social medicine research, surgical unit site visits, understanding medical team collaboration systems, immunotherapy cancer research, and animal testing ethics. The 40 participating students directly observed the collaboration process of diverse medical professionals in the healthcare field through practice-based education. Students shared their impressions: "By observing how various professionals cooperate in the medical field, we gained a sense of responsibility and motivation toward our future careers."

◆ Lee Hun-jae, Dean of Inha University School of Medicine, stated: "I hope young people will grow as talents in the regional health and medical fields by directly experiencing the medical field." An Incheon Education Office official announced: "Based on cooperation between the education office and university, we will continue to expand experiential education so students can design their future careers in the region." The Education Office and university plan to expand participation opportunities to more students next year.
