23일 방송계에 따르면 남포동은 지병으로 투병하던 끝에 이날 오전 세상을 떠났다.
배우 남포동은 1965년 코미디 영화 '나도 연애할 수 있다'로 데뷔해 '고래사냥'(1984), '겨울 나그네'(1986), '투캅스 2'(1996), '투캅스 3'(1998) 등 다수 영화에 출연해 코믹한 연기를 펼쳤다.
◆ 드라마 '인간 시장' '머나먼 쏭바강' 등 출연...존재감 드러내
드라마 '인간 시장'(1988), '머나먼 쏭바강'(1993~1994), '인생은 아름다워'(2001) 등에도 출연해 존재감을 드러냈다.
가장 최근에는 영화 '감동주의보'(2022)에서 주인공의 할아버지인 전종구 역을 맡아 열연했다.
고인은 2009년 간암 말기 진단을 받아 간이식 수술을 받았으며 투병으로 힘든 시간을 보냈다고 알려졌다.
