경기 안양시는 민선 8기 시장 공약 추진율이 98.7%에 이르는 가운데 완료율이 71%에 달한다고 자체 평가했다. 총 159건 중 113건을 완료했고 44건은 정상 추진 중이라고 설명했다. 안양시는 18일 시청 3층 상황실에서 실·국·소·원장과 공약 추진 부서장 등 간부 공무원 34명이 참석한 가운데 최대호 시장 주재로 '하반기 공약 사업 추진 상황 보고회'를 열고 내용을 공유했다. 향후 추진 방향도 논의됐다.
◆올 하반기 7건 공약 완료
올 하반기 완료된 공약 사업은 7건으로 관악대로 일원 활성화 방안 기본구상 용역 완수, 재개발·재건축 본격 추진 및 활성화, 유니세프 아동 친화 도시 최종 인증 등이 포함됐다. 석수 체육센터 건립, 비산노인종합복지관 개관, 민관동행 안양형 복지기구 설치(인력 구성 및 운영체계 구축), 서울대 안양수목원 전면 개방과 명칭 변경 등도 완료됐다. 안양시는 분기마다 공약 사업 추진 상황을 점검하고 반기별 보고회를 개최하며 시민 참여 공약 이행 평가를 위해 시정 현장 평가단의 의견과 평가를 추진 사항에 반영하는 등 공약 사업 완료를 철저히 관리하고 있다.
◆"초심 잃지 않고 공약 성실히 이행"
최대호 시장은 이날 보고회에서 "앞으로도 일낙천금(一諾千金), 한 번 한 약속을 천금처럼 소중히 여긴다는 말처럼 초심을 잃지 않고 모든 공약을 성실히 이행하도록 노력하겠다"고 밝혔다.

◆7 Pledges Completed in Second Half of This Year
The pledge projects completed in the second half of this year totaled 7, including completion of the basic concept service for Gwanak-daero area revitalization plan, full-scale promotion and activation of redevelopment and reconstruction, and final certification as a UNICEF Child Friendly City. Construction of Seoksu Sports Center, opening of Bisan Senior Welfare Center, establishment of Anyang-style welfare organization with public-private cooperation (personnel composition and operation system establishment), and full opening and name change of Seoul National University Anyang Arboretum were also completed. Anyang City thoroughly manages pledge project completion by inspecting pledge project progress quarterly, holding semi-annual report meetings, and reflecting the opinions and evaluations of the municipal administration field evaluation team in progress matters for citizen participation pledge implementation evaluation.
◆"Will Faithfully Implement All Pledges Without Losing Initial Resolve"
Mayor Choi stated at the report meeting that day, "Going forward, like the saying 'Ilnakcheongeom' (一諾千金), which means valuing a promise once made like a thousand gold pieces, we will strive to faithfully implement all pledges without losing our initial resolve."
