The city and foundation provide participating youth with up to 300,000 won monthly residency allowance and support 80% of tuition fees for participating companies. The pilot project increased participating companies by 156% and prospective employed youth by 173%.
Jung Ho-ki, director of Siheung City's Economic Bureau, said, "A city where youth grow through technology and companies develop together with young people is Siheung's future." He added, "Through this forum, we will develop a sustainable talent development ecosystem that creates an environment where youth engineers want to stay and work in the region."
