◆일본 총리, 미일동맹 강화 성과 강조
다카이치 총리는 APEC 폐막 후 기자회견에서 "자유롭고 열린 인도·태평양(FOIP) 구상을 추진하고 각국 정상과 신뢰관계를 구축했다"고 평가했다. 그는 취임 직후 진행한 아세안 정상회의, 트럼프 미국 대통령과 미일 정상회담, APEC 정상회의를 밀도 높은 외교 주간이었다고 말했다. 다카이치 총리는 미일동맹을 높은 수준으로 끌어올리고 트럼프 대통령을 비롯한 각국 정상과 신뢰를 구축한 것이 가장 큰 성과라고 밝혔다.
◆한국 대통령, 협력 복원 의지 표명
이 대통령은 1일 기자회견에서 "(정상회담 이후) 걱정이 다 사라졌다"며 "정치인일 때와 국가를 책임지는 총리의 입장은 다르다"고 말했다. 이 대통령은 "(다카이치 총리와) 자주 만나야 되겠다는 생각이 들었다"며 다음 일본 방문 시 다카이치 총리의 지역구인 나라현을 방문하겠다고 제안했고, 총리도 흔쾌히 수락했다고 전했다.
이 대통령은 31일 SNS를 통해 "한일관계를 더욱 미래지향적이고 안정적으로 발전시켜 나가고 싶다"며 "워낙 가깝고 오래된 사이다 보니 가족관계처럼 정서적인 상처를 입을 때도 있다"고 했다. 그는 "하지만 이웃임을 부정할 수도, 협력의 손을 놓을 수도 없다"며 "격변하는 국제정세 속에서 양국이 공동으로 대응해야 할 과제들이 점점 늘어나고 있다"고 강조했다.

She described the ASEAN Summit, the Japan-US Summit with US President Trump, and the APEC Summit held immediately after taking office as an intensive diplomatic week. Prime Minister Takaichi stated that elevating the Japan-US alliance to a higher level and building trust with President Trump and leaders of various countries was the greatest achievement.
◆Korean President Expresses Will to Restore Cooperation
President Lee said at a press conference on November 1 that all his concerns disappeared after the summit meeting, noting that the position of a prime minister responsible for the country is different from that of a politician. President Lee said he felt he should meet with Prime Minister Takaichi frequently, and proposed visiting Nara Prefecture, the prime minister's constituency, on his next visit to Japan, which the prime minister readily accepted.
President Lee stated via SNS on October 31 that he wants to develop ROK-Japan relations in a more future-oriented and stable manner, noting that because they are so close and have a long relationship, they sometimes experience emotional wounds like family relationships. He emphasized that while they cannot deny being neighbors or let go of cooperation, the number of challenges that the two countries must jointly address is increasing amid rapidly changing international situations.
