◆제설 대응체계 강화
수원특례시(시장 이재준)가 도로 결빙으로 인한 안전사고 예방 계획안을 담은 '2025~2026 동절기 도로 제설 종합대책'을 수립했다. 지난겨울 폭설 대응 과정에서 드러난 미흡한 부분을 보완하고, 인력과 장비 운용 기준을 반영한 제설 매뉴얼을 재정비해 대응체계를 강화했다. 긴급 제설 작업 시 신속한 대응을 위해 전진기지 12개소를 확보하고, 자동염수분사장치와 열선 시스템을 추가로 설치해 초기 강설 시 즉각 대응할 수 있도록 했다.
◆장비·인력 확보 및 협력체계 구축
제설 차량과 살포기, 제설제는 충분히 확보했고, 적설량에 따라 단계별 비상근무 체계를 가동할 예정이다. 수원시는 인접 지자체와 협조 체계를 유지하고, 수원도시공사·군부대·소방서·경찰서 등 관계 기관과의 공조를 강화해 폭설 시 효율적으로 대응할 계획이다. 11월에는 이재준 수원시장 주재로 제설 합동현장훈련을 열고, 실제 강설 상황에 대비한 현장 대응 태세를 점검할 예정이다.
◆시민 불편 최소화 다짐
김현수 수원시 제1부시장은 "제설 장비와 자재를 충분히 확보해 폭설 시 시민 불편이 최소화되도록 신속히 대응하겠다"며 "안전하고 쾌적한 도로 환경을 만들기 위해 최선을 다하겠다"고 말했다.

◆Strengthened Snow Removal Response System
Suwon Special City (Mayor Lee Jae-joon) has established the '2025-2026 Winter Road Snow Removal Comprehensive Plan' containing safety accident prevention measures against road icing. The city supplemented deficiencies revealed during last winter's heavy snow response and strengthened its response system by reorganizing the snow removal manual reflecting personnel and equipment operation standards. To enable rapid response during emergency snow removal operations, 12 forward bases were secured, and automatic brine spraying devices and heating wire systems were additionally installed to allow immediate response during initial snowfall.
◆Equipment and Personnel Secured, Cooperation System Established
Snow removal vehicles, spreaders, and snow removal agents have been sufficiently secured, and a phased emergency duty system will be operated according to snowfall amounts. Suwon City plans to maintain a cooperative system with neighboring local governments and strengthen collaboration with related organizations such as Suwon Urban Corporation, military units, fire stations, and police stations to respond efficiently to heavy snow. In November, a joint snow removal field training session will be held under the supervision of Suwon Mayor Lee Jae-joon to check field response readiness for actual snowfall situations.
