수원특례시(시장 이재준)는 10월 20일 시청 상황실에서 ‘2차 수원기업새빛펀드’ 운용사 8곳과 업무협약을 체결하고, 지역 기업 투자 활성화를 위한 협력을 약속했다. 이번 펀드는 수원 기업의 성장을 지원하기 위한 후속 투자 사업으로, 1차 펀드의 성공적 운용을 기반으로 추진된다.
운용사는 ▲창업 초기(일반) 분야 ㈜에스제이투자파트너스 ▲소재·부품·장비 분야 ㈜에스브이인베스트먼트 ▲바이오 분야 비엔에이치인베스트먼트(유) ▲초격차 분야 ㈜아이비케이벤처투자·에스비아이인베스트먼트㈜ ▲창업 초기(소형) 분야 ㈜탭엔젤파트너스·㈜경기창조경제혁신센터·㈜벤처스퀘어 등 총 8개사다. 수원시는 약정 출자금을 벤처투자조합에 출자하고, 운용사는 의무투자금액 이상을 수원 기업에 투자한다. 수원 기업 투자 약정액은 총 265억 원이다.
이재준 시장은 “1차 수원기업새빛펀드가 성공적으로 안착해 다수의 기업이 실질적 혜택을 받았다”며 “2차 펀드가 수원을 넘어 대한민국 경제 성장의 발판이 되길 기대한다”고 밝혔다. 수원기업새빛펀드는 기술력은 있으나 자금이 부족한 중소·벤처기업을 지원하기 위한 펀드로, 2023년 11월 출시된 1차 펀드는 총 3,149억 원이 조성돼 19개 수원 기업에 315억 4천만 원이 투자됐다.

Suwon Special City (Mayor Lee Jae-jun) announced on October 20 that it has signed an agreement with eight fund management firms to operate the second “Suwon Enterprise Saebit Fund,” aimed at supporting the growth of local businesses. Building on the success of the first fund launched in 2023, the second phase seeks to expand venture investment within Suwon.
The managing firms include SJ Investment Partners (early-stage general), SV Investment (materials, parts, and equipment), BNH Investment (bio sector), IBK Venture Capital and SBI Investment (strategic industries), as well as TAP Angel Partners, Gyeonggi Center for Creative Economy & Innovation, and VentureSquare (small-scale startups). The city will contribute to a venture investment partnership, while the firms are obligated to invest at least ₩26.5 billion in Suwon-based companies.
Mayor Lee stated, “The first Saebit Fund successfully provided crucial investment opportunities to local businesses, and the second fund will play a key role in advancing not only Suwon’s economy but also the national startup ecosystem.” The first Saebit Fund, launched in November 2023, raised ₩314.9 billion and invested ₩31.54 billion across 19 Suwon companies.
