군포시는 10월 15일 군포시장애인센터에서 군포시장애인단체총연합회(회장 박상환)와 군포시장애인단체 주관으로 제7회 장애인식개선 행사를 개최했다고 밝혔다. 이번 행사는 200여명의 장애인과 관계자 및 일반시민이 참여했다. 행사는 장애당사자가 본인의 행복을 스스로 찾아가는 삶, 장애인의 행복이 모든 이의 행복을 이끌어 간다는 주제로 이루어졌다.
■ 최홍규 부시장 "장애는 다양성과 포용의 상징"
최홍규 부시장은 "장애는 결코 누군가의 한계가 아닌 우리 사회가 함께 나아갈 방향이며 다양성과 포용의 상징"이라고 말했다. 그는 "장애인의 권익보호와 삶의 질 향상을 위해 최선을 다하겠다"고 밝혔다. 시각장애인 연주단의 공연으로 문을 연 행사는 '우리가 행복해야 모두가 행복합니다'라는 주제로 진행됐다. 박마루 강사(장애인기업종합지원센터 이사장)가 장애인으로서의 삶과 사회적 역할에 대해 이야기를 전했다.
■ 군포시 "포용 도시 조성 앞장"
군포시는 앞으로도 장애 인식 개선을 위한 다양한 프로그램을 통해 시민 모두가 공감하고 함께하는 포용 도시 조성에 앞장설 계획이다.

The event, which opened with a performance by a visually impaired orchestra, proceeded under the theme 'We must be happy for everyone to be happy'. Lecturer Park Ma-ru (Chairman of the Comprehensive Support Center for Businesses for People with Disabilities) shared stories about life and social roles as a person with disabilities.

Gunpo City plans to take the lead in creating an inclusive city where all citizens can empathize and participate together through various programs to improve awareness of disabilities.
