수원지법 안양지원은 15일 오전 11시 특정범죄 가중처벌 등에 관한 법률상 뇌물수수 등 혐의를 받는 하 시장에 대해 구속 전 피의자심문(영장실질심사)을 진행했다.

하 시장에게 뇌물을 건넨 혐의를 받는 건설업자 A씨와 다른 명목으로 금품을 제공한 것으로 알려진 건설업자 B씨도 같은 시각 영장심사를 받았다. 구속 여부는 이날 오후 늦게 결정될 것으로 보인다.

경찰에 따르면 하 시장은 군포시 복합문화공간 '그림책꿈마루' 운영을 맡을 민간업체 선정 과정에서 건설업자 A씨로부터 금품을 받은 혐의를 받고 있다.

하 시장은 "딸이 그림책꿈마루 관련 업체에 영업사원으로 입사해 6개월간 급여를 받은 것일 뿐 뇌물은 아니다"며 "정치적 보복성 수사로 본다"고 혐의를 부인했다.
