◆ 이혜훈 전 의원 기획예산처 장관 후보자 지명

이재명 정부의 초대 기획예산처 장관 후보자로 보수진영 출신 이혜훈 전 의원이 지명됐다. 이규연 대통령실 홍보소통수석은 28일 브리핑에서 이 전 의원을 기획예산처 장관 후보자로 지명했다고 밝혔다. 기획예산처는 다음 달 2일 국무총리실 산하 기관으로 출범하며 기획재정부에서 분리된 예산 기능을 담당한다.

◆ 이혜훈 전 의원 KDI 연구위원·예결위 간사 역임

이혜훈 전 의원은 국민의힘의 전신인 한나라당·새누리당·미래통합당에서 3선 의원을 지냈다. 지난해 제22대 총선에서도 국민의힘 후보로 서울 중구성동구갑에 출마했다. 이 수석은 "KDI 연구위원 등을 역임한 정책 실무에 능통한 분"이라며 "경제 민주화 철학에 기반해 최저임금법과 이자제한법 개정안 등을 대표 발의하고 불공정 거래 근절과 민생 활성화 정책을 추진했다"고 말했다. 이 전 의원은 국회 기획재정위원회 위원, 예산결산특별위원회 간사 등을 역임했다.

◆ 김성식 국민경제자문회의 부의장·조정식 정무특보 임명

이재명 대통령은 국민경제자문회의 부의장에 한나라당과 국민의당에서 재선을 지낸 김성식 전 의원을 임명했다. 국가과학기술자문회의 부의장에는 이경수 인애이블퓨전 의장을 임명했다. 농림축산식품부 차관에는 김종구 농림축산식품부 식량정책실장, 국토교통부 제2차관에는 경기도 도시주택실장 등을 지낸 홍지선 남양주시 부시장이 발탁됐다. 대통령 정무특별보좌관에는 5선의 친명계 조정식 더불어민주당 의원, 대통령 정책특별보좌관에는 이재명 대통령의 정책 멘토로 불리는 이한주 경제·인문사회연구회 이사장이 위촉됐다.

◆ Former Lawmaker Lee Hye-hoon Nominated as Budget Planning Minister

Former lawmaker Lee Hye-hoon from the conservative camp was nominated as the first Budget Planning Minister of the Lee Jae-myung government. Presidential Office Public Relations and Communication Senior Secretary Lee Gyu-yeon announced through a briefing on December 28 that former lawmaker Lee was nominated as the Budget Planning Minister candidate. The Budget Planning Office will launch on January 2 as an agency under the Prime Minister's Office and will handle budget functions separated from the Ministry of Economy and Finance.

◆ Former Lawmaker Lee Served as KDI Researcher and Budget Committee Secretary

Former lawmaker Lee Hye-hoon served three terms in the Grand National Party, Saenuri Party, and United Future Party, predecessors of the People Power Party. She also ran as a People Power Party candidate in Seoul Junggu-Seongdonggu-gap in the 22nd general election last year. Senior Secretary Lee said, "She is well-versed in policy practice, having served as a KDI research fellow. Based on the philosophy of economic democratization, she proposed amendments to the Minimum Wage Act and Interest Limitation Act, and pursued policies to eradicate unfair trade and revitalize people's livelihoods." Former lawmaker Lee served as a member of the National Assembly Strategy and Finance Committee and secretary of the Special Committee on Budget and Accounts.

◆ Kim Sung-sik Appointed Vice Chairman of National Economic Advisory Council, Cho Jung-sik as Political Affairs Advisor

President Lee Jae-myung appointed former lawmaker Kim Sung-sik, who served two terms in the Grand National Party and People's Party, as vice chairman of the National Economic Advisory Council. Lee Kyung-soo, chairman of Enable Fusion, was appointed vice chairman of the National Science and Technology Advisory Council. Kim Jong-gu, director of Food Policy at the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, was appointed vice minister of the ministry. Hong Ji-sun, deputy mayor of Namyangju City who served as director of Urban Housing at Gyeonggi Province, was appointed second vice minister of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. Five-term pro-Lee lawmaker Cho Jung-sik of the Democratic Party of Korea was appointed as Presidential Special Advisor for Political Affairs. Lee Han-joo, chairman of the National Research Council for Economics, Humanities and Social Sciences, known as President Lee's policy mentor, was appointed as Presidential Special Advisor for Policy.
