군포시새마을회가 2026년 1월 1일 반월호수 수변공원에서 해맞이 행사를 개최한다.
해맞이 행사는 2023년 첫 개최 이후 매년 2,000명 이상의 시민이 참여하며 군포시 대표 새해맞이 행사로 자리 잡았다.
사단법인 군포시새마을회가 주최·주관하며 군포시와 NH농협은행 군포시지부가 후원한다. 행사는 일출 맞이 대북 공연, 진도북춤 등 다채로운 프로그램으로 구성된다. 군포시새마을회가 마련하는 떡국 나눔도 함께 진행된다.
서태연 군포시새마을회 회장은 "그동안의 경험을 토대로 병오년 새해 첫날에도 시민들이 함께 따뜻한 마음을 나누고 희망을 기원할 수 있도록 최선을 다해 준비하겠다"고 밝혔다.
군포시는 안전사고 방지를 위해 반월호수 수변공원 일대에 약 100명의 안전요원을 배치한다. 군포소방서·군포경찰서 등 유관기관과 협조 체계를 구축해 시민 안전을 확보할 계획이다.
행사는 사전접수 없이 누구나 당일 참석 가능하다. 주차 공간이 협소해 혼잡이 예상되므로 대중교통 이용을 권장한다.
대중교통 이용 방법: 지하철 4호선 대야미역에서 마을버스 1-1, 1-2, 6-1번을 탑승해 둔터·반월호수 정류장에서 하차하면 된다.
하은호 군포시장은 "2026년에도 반월호수 해맞이 행사가 안전하고 의미 있게 진행될 수 있도록 준비에 최선을 다하고 있다"며 "병오년 새해에도 시민 여러분의 건강과 행복, 소망이 이루어지길 기원한다"고 말했다.

The Gunpo Saemaul Society will hold a New Year's sunrise ceremony at Banwol Lake Waterfront Park in Gunpo on January 1, 2026.
The sunrise ceremony has become a signature New Year's event in Gunpo since its inaugural event in 2023, attracting over 2,000 citizens annually.
The Gunpo Saemaul Society serves as the host and organizer, with support from the Gunpo City and NH Nonghyup Bank Gunpo City Branch. The event features a sunrise ceremony accompanied by a drumming performance, as well as the traditional farmer's band performance. Rice cake soup sharing organized by the Gunpo Saemaul Society will also take place.
"Based on our past experiences, we will do our best to prepare so that citizens can share warmth and hope together on the first day of the year in 2026," said Seo Tae-yeon, Chairman of the Gunpo Saemaul Society.
The Gunpo City will deploy approximately 100 safety personnel around Banwol Lake Waterfront Park to prevent accidents. The city plans to establish a cooperation system with relevant agencies including the Gunpo Fire Department and Gunpo Police Department to ensure public safety.
The event is open to anyone on the day without prior registration. As parking space is limited and congestion is expected, public transportation is recommended.
How to use public transportation: Take subway line 4 at Dayami Station, then board town bus numbers 1-1, 1-2, or 6-1, and get off at the Doonter-Banwol Lake bus stop.
Gunpo Mayor Eun-ho Ha stated, "We are making every effort to ensure the 2026 Banwol Lake New Year's sunrise ceremony proceeds safely and meaningfully," and added, "I hope for the health, happiness, and wishes of all citizens in the Year of the Horse."
