인천시의회 산업경제위원회가 2025년 행정사무감사와 2026년 본예산 심의를 앞두고 11월 4일 주요 산업 현장을 방문했다.
◆ 자월도 파브 실증단지·서부산업단지 점검
산업경제위원회는 이날 김유곤 위원장과 신성영 부위원장을 비롯해 인천시 산업정책과장, 산업입지과장 등과 함께 옹진군 자월도 파브 실증단지와 서부산업단지를 찾았다. 위원회는 조성사업 진행 상황과 향후 계획을 보고받았다. 기술 실증 및 안전성 검증 절차, 지역 연계형 산업 생태계 조성 방향을 점검했다.
◆ 미래 모빌리티 산업 육성 정책 확인
이번 현장 방문은 인천시의 미래 전략산업인 파브(PAV) 산업 육성 정책의 추진 현황을 확인하기 위해 마련됐다. 파브는 자동차·소재·로봇·전자통신·항공기술 등이 융합된 개인용 비행체다.
김유곤 위원장은 "자월도 파브 실증단지는 인천이 미래 모빌리티 산업의 중심 도시로 도약하기 위한 중요한 기반이 될 것"이라고 말했다. 그는 "현장의 목소리를 바탕으로 실증과 안전성 검증을 뒷받침하고, 지역 산업과의 연계를 강화해 실효성 있는 정책을 추진하겠다"고 밝혔다.
◆ 서부산업단지 현안 청취
위원회는 서부산업단지공단을 찾아 산업단지 운영 현황을 청취했다. 입주기업의 애로사항, 단지 내 기반시설 개선, 노후단지 재생사업 추진 방향에 대한 의견을 수렴했다.
김유곤 위원장은 "서부산업단지는 인천 제조업의 뿌리이자 지역경제의 버팀목"이라며 "입주기업의 애로를 신속히 해소하고, 기반시설 개선과 노후 산단 재생사업 추진에 최선을 다하겠다"고 말했다.
신성영 부위원장은 "현장 점검을 통해 확인한 과제들이 행정사무감사와 심의 과정에서 구체적인 정책과 예산으로 이어질 수 있도록 노력하겠다"고 했다.
산업경제위원회는 11월 7일부터 19일까지 경제산업본부를 시작으로 13개 기관을 대상으로 행정사무감사를 실시한다.

◆ Inspection of Jawol Island PAV Test Site and Seobu Industrial Complex
The Industrial Economy Committee visited the PAV test site on Jawol Island in Ongjin-gun and Seobu Industrial Complex on this day. The delegation included Chairman Kim Yu-gon, Vice Chairman Shin Seong-young, Incheon City's Industrial Policy Division Director, and Industrial Site Division Director. The committee received reports on the progress of development projects and future plans. They examined technology demonstration and safety verification procedures and directions for creating a region-linked industrial ecosystem.
◆ Confirmation of Future Mobility Industry Development Policy
This field visit was organized to confirm the implementation status of Incheon City's future strategic industry PAV (Personal Air Vehicle) industry development policy. PAV is a personal flying vehicle that combines automobile, materials, robotics, electronic communications, and aviation technologies.
Chairman Kim Yu-gon said, "The Jawol Island PAV test site will become an important foundation for Incheon to leap forward as a central city in the future mobility industry." He stated, "We will support demonstration and safety verification based on field voices and promote effective policies by strengthening links with local industries."
◆ Hearing on Seobu Industrial Complex Issues
The committee visited Seobu Industrial Complex Corporation and listened to the operational status of the industrial complex. They collected opinions on difficulties faced by tenant companies, improvement of infrastructure within the complex, and directions for promoting old complex regeneration projects.
Chairman Kim said, "Seobu Industrial Complex is the root of Incheon's manufacturing industry and a pillar of the local economy," adding, "We will do our best to quickly resolve difficulties faced by tenant companies and promote infrastructure improvement and old industrial complex regeneration projects."
Vice Chairman Shin Seong-young said, "We will work to ensure that the tasks identified through field inspections lead to specific policies and budgets during the administrative audit and review process."
The Industrial Economy Committee will conduct administrative audits of 13 organizations starting with the Economic Industry Headquarters from November 7 to 19.
