◆ 경인고속도로 지난해 통행료 수입 462억원 역대 최대

22일 더불어민주당 허종식(인천 동구미추홀구갑) 의원이 한국도로공사로부터 받은 자료에 따르면 지난해 경인고속도로 통행료 수입은 462억원이다. 2016년 430억원 이후 최근 10년 중 가장 높은 수입이다. 2016년부터 2024년 11월까지 누적 통행료는 약 4,356억원에 달한다. 허 의원은 경인고속도로 건설비 회수율이 200%를 넘긴 상황이라고 밝혔다.

◆ 인천 기점 차량만 통행료 부담 구조 고착화

인천 미추홀구·동구·중구·서구에서 진입해 서울로 가는 차량만 통행료를 부담하는 구조가 고착화돼 있다. 경기 김포·부천에서 수도권제1순환고속도로 서운분기점(JC)을 통해 경인고속도로에 진출입하는 차량은 통행료 없이 이용한다. 허 의원은 인천에서 진입하는 시민들은 정체를 감내하면서 통행료를 내지만 타 지역 차량은 무료로 통과해 정체를 가중시킨다고 지적했다.

◆ 허 의원 "인천 기점 차량 한시적 통행료 감면해야"

허 의원은 "도로공사가 인천 시민들을 수익 창출을 위한 수단으로만 여기고 있다"고 비판했다. 허 의원은 "도로공사는 고속도로라는 이름에 걸맞은 주행 환경을 제공할 의무가 있다"며 "즉각적인 서비스 개선 대책을 마련하는 한편 인천 기점 차량에 대한 한시적 통행료 감면 등 합당한 조치를 취해야 한다"고 밝혔다.
