고양특례시(시장 이동환)는 마을버스 요금을 25일 첫차부터 일반인 카드요금 기준으로 200원 인상한다고 13일 밝혔다.
이번 조정은 지난 9월 25일 고양시소비자정책위원회 심의를 거쳐 확정된 사항으로 경기도 시내버스 요금조정일인 10월 25일에 맞춰 시행된다.
조정 요금은 카드 기준 일반인 1천450원에서 1천650원(200원 인상), 청소년은 1천10원에서 1천160원(150원 인상), 어린이는 730원에서 830원(100원 인상)으로 경기도 시내버스 조정 요금과 같다.
시는 운송원가 상승과 이용객 감소로 마을버스 운수업체의 경영 여건이 꾸준히 악화되고 있다고 밝혔다. 특히 수도권 통합환승할인제 구조상 마을버스는 수익 배분에서 불리해 마을버스 요금이 동결될 경우 적자가 심화할 수밖에 없는 상황이라고 설명했다.
시 관계자는 "수도권 통합환승할인제가 적용돼 시민들의 교통비 추가 부담은 크지 않을 것"이라며 "K-패스(www.korea-pass.kr)와 기후동행카드 및 어린이·청소년 교통비 지원(www.gbuspb.kr)을 활용하면 교통비 절감 효과를 높일 수 있다"고 밝혔다. 이어 "안정적인 대중교통 운영으로 시민 편의를 증진시키기 위해 최선을 다하겠다"고 덧붙였다.

In particular, due to the structure of the metropolitan integrated transfer discount system, village buses are at a disadvantage in terms of profit distribution, so if village bus fares are frozen, the deficit will inevitably deepen.
A city official said, "The metropolitan integrated transfer discount system will be applied, so the additional burden of transportation costs on citizens will not be large," and "If you use K-Pass (www.korea-pass.kr), Climate Companion Card, and transportation cost support for children and teenagers (www.gbuspb.kr), you can increase the effect of reducing transportation costs."
