경기도는 동·북부 응급의료 및 분만 취약지 응급의료지원을 위해 올해 56억원 상당을 투입해 응급의료 서비스 격차를 해소하고 안전한 의료환경을 조성하고 있다고 13일 밝혔다. 이는 지난해 대비 18억4천만원을 증액한 수준이다.
앞서 도는 지난해 10월 동두천중앙성모병원과 양평병원을 취약지역 거점의료기관으로 지정해 24시간 응급진료 체계를 갖추도록 지원했다. 이를 통해 지역 내 유일한 응급실 기능을 안정적으로 유지하며 도민들이 언제 어디서나 필요한 응급진료를 받을 수 있는 기반을 마련했다.
올해는 가평, 동두천, 양평, 양주 4개 의료기관에 응급실 전문의 인건비 32억원을 지원하는 등 응급실 운영을 실질적으로 뒷받침한 결과, 7월 말 기준으로 총 2만8천832건의 응급환자 진료가 이뤄졌다. 이는 대형병원에 집중되던 환자를 지역 내에서 분산해 치료할 수 있도록 해 응급의료 접근성을 높이고, 환자와 가족들의 부담을 크게 줄이는 성과로 이어졌다.
올해 처음으로 24억원을 투입해 분만취약지 임산부를 대상으로 원거리 진료 교통비 지원사업을 추진하며 도민의 체감 효과를 높였다. 당초 2천400명을 목표로 했던 지원 규모는 실제로 9월 25일 기준 2천626명이 신청하면서 109%를 달성했다. 이를 통해 임산부들이 보다 안전한 환경에서 산전·산후 진료를 받을 수 있도록 돕는 한편, 건강한 출산환경을 조성하는 성과를 거뒀다.
경기도는 이번 사업을 통해 응급의료 취약지역 지원이 도민의 생명과 건강권 보장을 위한 핵심 정책임을 입증했다고 설명했다.
유영철 도 보건건강국장은 "응급의료 취약지역 지원은 일시적 사업이 아니라 반드시 지속돼야 할 필수 공공정책"이라며 "앞으로도 안정적 운영을 통해 경기 동·북부 주민이 안심할 수 있는 응급의료체계를 지켜나가겠다"고 밝혔다.

In addition, this year, 2.4 billion won was invested for the first time to promote a transportation subsidy project for long-distance medical care for pregnant women in vulnerable areas for childbirth, increasing the tangible effect for residents. The support scale, which originally targeted 2,400 people, actually achieved 109% with 2,626 people applying as of September 25, and through this, the achievement was made to help pregnant women receive prenatal and postnatal care in a safer environment and to create a healthy birth environment.
Gyeonggi Province explained that through this project, it proved that support for vulnerable areas for emergency medical care is a core policy for guaranteeing the life and health rights of residents.
