㈜해머앤아머가 장학기금 1천만원, 수원시새마을문고가 장학기금 400만원을 수원시장학재단에 기탁했다고 13일 밝혔다.
윤삼열 ㈜해머앤아머 대표와 이종선 수원시새마을문고 회장은 10일 수원시청을 방문해 기부금을 전달했다.
이날 전달식에는 이재준 수원특례시장, 윤삼열 대표, 최우영 상무, 이종선 회장, 수원시장학재단 박춘근 이사장, 노수용 사무국장 등이 참석했다.
윤삼열 ㈜해머앤아머 대표는 "의사이자 연구자로서 사회로부터 받은 혜택을 다시 나누는 것이 제 역할이라 생각한다"며 "학생들이 학업에 전념하고 꿈을 펼치는 데 작은 도움이 되길 바란다"고 밝혔다.
이종선 수원시새마을문고 회장은 "최근 바자회에서 모은 수익금을 장학재단에 기부하게 돼 매우 뜻깊다"며 "청소년들이 학업과 꿈을 이어가는 데 작은 디딤돌이 되길 바란다"고 밝혔다.
박춘근 수원시장학재단 이사장은 "지역사회와 기업이 함께 인재를 키워가는 선한 영향력에 깊이 감사드린다"며 "기부자의 뜻을 소중히 담아 학생들에게 더 많은 기회를 제공하고, 그 성과를 지역사회와 나누겠다"고 밝혔다.
이재준 수원시장은 "매년 꾸준한 나눔으로 수원 교육 발전에 힘을 보태 주셔서 감사드린다"며 "아이들이 자신의 꿈을 실현할 수 있도록 수원시에서도 든든히 지원하겠다"고 밝혔다.
수원시장학재단은 2006년 설립된 수원시 출연기관으로, 지역 인재를 발굴·양성하기 위한 장학금 지원사업을 전개하고 있다. 지금까지 초·중·고·대학생 1만3천561명에게 117억2천400만원의 장학금을 지급했다.

Suwon Mayor Lee Jae-jun said, "Thank you for contributing to the development of education in Suwon with your steady sharing every year," and "Suwon City will also provide strong support so that children can realize their dreams."
The Suwon City Scholarship Foundation is a Suwon City-sponsored organization established in 2006 and is conducting scholarship support projects to discover and nurture local talent. So far, it has provided 11.724 billion won in scholarships to 13,561 elementary, middle, high school, and university students.
