◆ 방문 및 참석자 현황

고양특례시 이동환 시장이 5일 일산동구 저현고등학교를 방문했다. 이 방문은 2024년 고양시가 추진한 학교 지원사업의 운영 현황을 점검하고 교육현장의 의견을 청취하기 위해 진행됐다. 방문에 참석한 인원은 이동환 시장과 학교장, 교감, 학교운영위원장, 학부모회장, 교직원 및 학부모 10여 명이다.

참석자들은 저현고가 2024년 참여한 학교 지원 프로그램의 추진 현황과 자율형 공립고(자공고) 2.0 전환을 위한 준비 과정을 공유했다. 이후 진행된 간담회에서 이 시장과 교육 관계자들은 학교 운영 과정에서의 실질적 어려움을 청취했고, 교육환경 개선과 학생 진로·학습 지원 방안에 대해 의견을 교환했다. 학부모들은 자공고 운영 준비 과정에서 학교와 고양시의 지속적 협력이 필요함을 제기했다.

◆ 학교숲 프로젝트 현황 및 환경교육 연계

참석자들은 고양시가 지원한 학교숲 리모델링 공간을 둘러봤다. 저현고는 해당 공간에서 탄소중립 프로젝트를 운영 중이며, 학교 측이 진행 과정과 활용 현황을 설명했다. 고양시는 이 프로젝트가 숲 해설가 양성 등 지역 환경교육과 연계될 수 있도록 협력 방향을 제시했다.

◆ Site Visit and Attendees

Lee Dong-hwan, Mayor of Goyang Special City, visited Jeohyun High School in Ilsan-dong-gu on December 5th. This visit was conducted to review the operational status of school support projects promoted by Goyang City in 2024 and to hear the voices of the education field. Attendees included Mayor Lee Dong-hwan, the school principal, vice-principal, school operating committee chairman, parent association president, and approximately 10 school staff members and parents.

◆ Preparation for Autonomous Public High School 2.0 Transition and Discussion on Improving Educational Environment

The attendees shared the progress of school support programs in which Jeohyun High School participated in 2024 and the preparation process for converting to an Autonomous Public High School (Autonomous Public High School 2.0). During the subsequent discussion session, the Mayor and education officials listened to practical difficulties in school operations and exchanged opinions on improving the educational environment and supporting student career development and academic learning. Parents raised the necessity for continuous cooperation between the school and Goyang City in preparing for the operation of Autonomous Public High School 2.0.

◆ School Forest Project Status and Connection with Environmental Education

Attendees toured the school forest remodeling space supported by Goyang City. Jeohyun High School operates a carbon neutrality project in the space, and the school explained the progress and current usage status. Goyang City presented directions for cooperation so that the project could be connected with local environmental education, such as the training of forest interpreters.
