인천시가 보건복지부 주관 아동정책 평가에서 5개 부문 최우수·우수상을 석권했다. 8일 서울에서 열린 제13회 아동권리포럼 시상식에서 인천시는 '아동정책시행계획 추진실적' 최우수상, '아동정책영향평가' 우수상을 수상했다. 유정복 인천시장이 이끄는 인천시는 지난 11월 19일 '아동학대 공공 대응체계 운영 평가' 우수상, 12월 1일 '아동보호체계 구축 지자체 평가' 3년 연속 최우수상, 12월 5일 '정부혁신왕중왕전' 동상(사례명: 취약계층 아동 온밥돌봄 사업)을 수상하며 압도적 성과를 거뒀다. ◆인천시 평가 점수는 2023년 노력상, 2024년 우수상, 2025년 최우수상으로 매년 상승하는 추세를 보였다.
인천시의 '아동정책시행계획 추진실적 평가'는 목표 및 전략 수립, 아동권리 실현 추진체계 구축, 긴급돌봄지원체계 구축, 지자체 자율지표 등 4개 평가 영역 모두에서 탁월한 점수를 기록했다. ◆'아동정책영향평가'는 지자체 정책이 아동에게 미치는 영향을 자체점검하는 제도로, 올해 인천시가 첫 우수 지자체로 선정됐다. 이는 인천시 정책의 전문성과 체계성이 국가 평가 체계에서 인정받았음을 의미한다. ◆인천시는 아동친화도시 조성, 아동돌봄·보호 지원체계 강화, 아동학대 예방 및 피해아동 보호 강화 등 정책을 꾸준히 추진했다.

Incheon City swept five categories of excellence and outstanding awards in the Ministry of Health and Welfare's child welfare policy evaluation. At the award ceremony of the 13th Children's Rights Forum held in Seoul on December 8, Incheon City received the Excellence Award in 'Child Welfare Policy Implementation Achievement Evaluation' and the Outstanding Award in 'Child Welfare Policy Impact Assessment.' Mayor Yu Jung-bok of Incheon City achieved overwhelming results by receiving the Outstanding Award in 'Child Abuse Public Response System Operation Evaluation' on November 19, the Excellence Award for three consecutive years in 'Child Protective System Construction Local Government Evaluation' on December 1, and the Bronze Award in 'Government Innovation Grand Prize Championship' on December 5 (project name: Providing Warm Meals through Whole Meal Care for Vulnerable Children). ◆Incheon City's evaluation score demonstrated an upward trend: Effort Award in 2023, Outstanding Award in 2024, and Excellence Award in 2025.
Incheon City's 'Child Welfare Policy Implementation Achievement Evaluation' recorded superior scores in all four evaluation areas: goal and strategy development, child rights realization promotion system establishment, emergency care support system establishment, and local government autonomous indicators. ◆The 'Child Welfare Policy Impact Assessment' is a system where local governments self-examine the impact of their policies on children. Incheon City was selected as the first outstanding local government this year. This signifies that Incheon City's policy expertise and systematicity received recognition in the national evaluation system. ◆Incheon City consistently promoted policies including child-friendly city development, strengthening of child care and protection support systems, and enhanced prevention of child abuse and protection of affected children.
Incheon's birth promotion policies 'Child Plus 100 Million Dream' and 'Child Plus Growing Dream' have already achieved the nation's highest birth rate increase. ◆Incheon City passed the 1st and 2nd stage review for UNICEF Child-Friendly City certification and is pursuing the implementation of a child-friendly city with the goal of obtaining final certification by year-end. Mayor Yu Jung-bok stated, "The five awards are the result of efforts with citizens to create a city where children thrive," and added, "We will continue to develop innovative child welfare policies that citizens can directly experience."
