인천대교 통행료가 오는 18일부터 대폭 인하한다. 인천시는 2일 기획재정부 민간투자사업심의위원회가 인천대교 민간투자사업 변경 실시 협약을 의결했다고 밝혔다.
18일 자정부터 승용차 기준 편도 통행료는 5천500원에서 2천원으로 63.6% 내린다. 중형차와 대형차 통행료도 각각 3천500원, 4천500원으로 조정한다.
인천대교는 2009년 민자로 건설·개통했으며 재정고속도로 대비 2.89배 수준으로 국내 민자고속도로 중 가장 비싸 요금 인하 필요성이 꾸준히 제기돼 왔다.

The Incheon Bridge toll will be significantly reduced starting December 18. Incheon City announced on December 2 that the Ministry of Economy and Finance's Private Investment Project Deliberation Committee approved the amendment to the Incheon Bridge private investment project agreement. Starting midnight on December 18, the one-way toll for passenger cars will decrease by 63.6% from 5,500 won to 2,000 won. Tolls for medium and large vehicles will also be adjusted to 3,500 won and 4,500 won respectively. The Incheon Bridge was constructed and opened with private investment in 2009 and has been the most expensive among domestic private expressways at 2.89 times the rate of government-funded expressways, leading to consistent calls for toll reductions.
