◆ 도로 위험 요소 제거 완료

고선희 인천 서구의원(더불어민주당·나선거구)은 12월 1일 가좌동 법명사 후문 진입로 추락 위험 구간에 안전펜스 설치 작업 완료를 발표했다. 11월 4일 현장 점검 직후 서구가 신속히 조치했다. 이 도로는 차량이 우회전 진입할 경우 약 10m 아래로 추락할 위험이 있었다. 주민들이 자비로 '추락 위험' 안내문을 설치할 정도로 사고 위험이 높았던 지점이었다.

◆ 서구, 맞춤형 안전시설 신속 추진

서구는 현장 점검 직후 공유지·사유지 여부를 검토하고 지형 특성을 반영한 맞춤형 안전펜스 설치를 추진해 공사를 마무리했다. 의원의 요청에서 완공까지 약 27일이 소요되었다. 설치 공사는 도로의 지형과 안전성을 고려해 진행되었다.

◆ 주민들 "이제 안심할 수 있다"

고선희 의원은 설치 현장 재방문을 통해 작업 완료 여부와 안전성을 확인했다. 의원은 "주민들의 작은 불편과 우려를 신속히 해결하는 것이 지방의원의 역할"이라며 "지역 내 위험 요소를 면밀히 살피고 사고를 사전에 방지하는 데 최선을 다하겠다"고 밝혔다. 지역 주민들은 "그동안 늘 불안했는데 이제 안심하고 다닐 수 있게 됐다"며 이번 조치를 환영했다.

Seo-gu implemented the measure promptly following her field inspection on November 4. The road posed a serious risk of vehicles falling approximately 10 meters when entering at a normal right-turn angle. The location presented such a high accident risk that residents privately installed warning signs indicating dropoff danger.

◆ Seo-gu Pursues Customized Safety Infrastructure

Seo-gu reviewed the property status as public or private land following the field inspection and promptly advanced customized safety fence installation reflecting terrain characteristics, completing the construction work. Approximately 27 days elapsed from the councilor's request to project completion. The installation was conducted considering the road's topography and safety requirements.

◆ Residents Express Relief and Approval

Councilor Ko revisited the installation site to verify work completion and safety status. The councilor stated, "Promptly resolving residents' minor inconveniences and concerns is the role of a local councilor," and added, "I will continue to carefully monitor risk factors in our district and make every effort to prevent accidents in advance." Local residents welcomed the measure, commenting, "We had always felt anxious until now, but now we can walk with peace of mind."
