◆ 국내 최대 규모 프랑스 기업 인수 결정

에어리퀴드는 지난 9월 국내 산업용 가스 기업 DIG에어가스를 4조 6천억 원 규모로 인수하기로 결정했다. 프랑스 기업의 국내 기업 인수 사상 최대 규모다. 회사는 현재 인수 관련 절차를 진행 중이며 인수 완료 후 경기도 내 사업 확대를 추진할 예정이다. 자코 회장은 경기도의 적극적 관심과 지원을 요청했다.

◆ 김 지사 "100조 투자 유치 초과 달성"

김동연 지사는 "경기도의 적극적인 지원과 우호적인 환경, 발전 가능성, 양 팀의 신뢰에 기반해 더 많은 투자를 기대한다"고 말했다. 김 지사는 또 "도민들에게 약속한 100조 투자 유치를 지난달 초과 달성했다"며 "경기도가 대한민국 산업을 견인하고 있고, 국제사회와 국제 비즈니스 지도자들의 경기도 잠재력에 대한 신뢰가 가장 큰 힘이었다"고 강조했다.

◆ 반도체·수소·화학 산업 거점으로 위상 강화

에어리퀴드는 1996년 한국 진출 이후 석유화학, 반도체, 수소 모빌리티, 재택 건강관리 분야에 산업용 가스를 공급하고 있다. 화성 장안외국인투자지역에는 반도체용 전자 재료 제조시설을 운영하고 있다. 1902년 프랑스 파리에서 설립된 에어리퀴드는 전 세계 60개국에서 6만 6천여 명을 고용하고 있으며 2024년 기준 매출은 약 271억 유로(약 46조 원)다. 올해 1월 자코 회장이 화성 몰리브덴 생산시설 투자를 밝힌 후 7월 상업 생산을 시작해 고순도 몰리브덴의 국내 생산 기반을 마련했다.

Air Liquide has supplied industrial gases to petrochemicals, semiconductors, hydrogen mobility, and at-home healthcare sectors since entering Korea in 1996. The company operates an electronic materials manufacturing facility for semiconductors in the Hwaseong Jangan Foreign Investment Zone. Founded in Paris, France in 1902, Air Liquide employs approximately 66,000 people across 60 countries worldwide, with 2024 revenue reaching approximately 27.1 billion euros (approximately 46 trillion won). Following CEO Jackow's announcement of commitment to invest in a molybdenum production facility in Hwaseong in January, commercial production began in July, establishing a foundation for domestic production of high-purity molybdenum.
