◆ 의회 예산 심사 전 현장 확인

군포시의회(의장 김귀근)는 2026년 시 예산안 심사를 앞두고 2일 주요 시책사업장 6개소를 방문해 사업 추진 현황을 확인했다. 이날 방문 장소는 공공형 청년주택 조성 사업 대상지인 군포시평생학습마을 내 문화예술창작촌, 군포시노동종합복지관, 웨어러블 로봇 실증센터 구축을 진행 중인 군포산업진흥원, 공업지역 정비 예정지인 당정동 59번지 일원 등이었다. 복지와 도시 개발 등 시민 생활에 직접 영향을 주는 사업의 진행 상황과 예상 문제점을 파악하기 위한 방문이었다.

◆ "현장에서 답을 찾는 의정활동"

이길호 의원(제285회 정례회 예산결산특별위원회 위원장)은 "방문 장소는 의원들이 반드시 확인해야 할 주요 시정 사업 현장을 협의한 곳"이라며 "현장을 직접 보고 예상되는 문제점과 개선 방안을 고민해 예산심의에 임할 것"이라고 밝혔다. 김귀근 의장도 "제9대 의회는 시민 속의 민생의회, 현장 중심의 민생의정 실천을 목표로 활동해왔다"며 "예산심의 전 주요 시책 사업장을 미리 확인하는 것도 현장에서 답을 찾는 의정활동의 일환"이라고 말했다.

◆ 9천105억원 규모 2026년 예산안 심의

시의회는 5일부터 17일까지 예산결산특별위원회를 운영해 총 9천105억원 규모의 2026년도 군포시 예산안과 2026년도 기금운용계획안을 검토 및 의결할 예정이다. 제285회 정례회 일정은 시의회 누리집(gunpocouncil.go.kr)에 공지되었으며, 시민 누구나 의회를 방문해 회의를 방청할 수 있다. 방문이 어려운 경우 시의회 누리집 또는 공식 유튜브(youtube.com/@gunpocouncil)에서 회의를 실시간 중계하거나 녹화 영상으로 시청할 수 있다.

◆ On-site verification before council budget review

Gunpo City Council (Chairman Kim Gui-geun) visited six major policy project sites on the 2nd to verify the status of project implementation ahead of the 2026 municipal budget review. The visited locations included a cultural and arts creation village within Gunpo Lifelong Learning Village, the target site for public-type youth housing development, Gunpo Labor Comprehensive Welfare Center, Gunpo Industrial Promotion Agency where a wearable robot demonstration center is under construction, and the area around 59 Dangjung-dong, designated for industrial zone improvement. The visit aimed to identify the progress of projects directly affecting citizens' lives, such as welfare and urban development, and to identify potential issues and improvements.

◆ "Finding answers in on-site legislative activities"

Council member Lee Gil-ho (Chair of the 285th Regular Session Budget and Settlement Special Committee) stated, "The visited locations were sites of major city administration projects that council members must verify, coordinated through consultation," and added, "We will review the sites directly and deliberate on the budget while considering anticipated issues and improvement measures." Chairman Kim Gui-geun also said, "The 9th council has worked toward becoming a council that prioritizes citizens' livelihoods and field-centered legislative activities," and noted, "Pre-verifying major policy project sites before budget deliberation is part of legislative activities that seek answers in the field."

◆ 2026 budget deliberation of 910.5 billion won scale

The council will operate the Budget and Settlement Special Committee from the 5th to the 17th to review and vote on the 2026 Gunpo municipal budget plan totaling 910.5 billion won and the 2026 fund operation plan. The schedule for the 285th Regular Session has been announced on the city council website (gunpocouncil.go.kr), and any citizen can visit the council to observe the meetings.
