◆ 홈플러스, 적자 점포 5곳 영업 중단 검토

홈플러스는 "해당 점포 직원은 인력 부족으로 운영이 어려운 타 점포로 전환배치해 100% 고용을 보장하겠다"고 밝혔다. 이를 통해 필수인력 부족으로 인한 점포 운영 차질을 방지할 계획이다. 홈플러스는 "영업 정상화와 기업회생 절차의 안정적인 마무리를 위해 마지막까지 최선을 다하겠다"고 덧붙였다. 홈플러스는 올해 8월 주요 거래처의 거래조건 강화로 전사긴급경영체제에 돌입했다. 9월 19일에는 '홈플러스 사태 정상화를 위한 태스크포스' 의원단이 방문해 거래조건 복구와 납품 정상화를 전제로 15개 점포 폐점을 연말까지 보류하고 인가 전 인수합병에 집중하기로 합의한 바 있다.

Homeplus entered a company-wide emergency management system in August this year due to strengthened trading conditions from major suppliers. On September 19, a task force delegation of lawmakers visited and agreed to postpone the closure of 15 stores until year-end and focus on pre-approval mergers and acquisitions, conditional on the restoration of trading conditions and normalization of deliveries.
