군포시의회 제285회 정례회가 1일 개회했다. 의장 김귀근이 의회를 주재한다. 정례회는 1일부터 18일까지 운영된다. 이번 회기에서 2026년 본예산안 9천105억여원과 의원 발의 조례 15건을 포함한 조례 및 기타안건 35건을 심의한다.
2026년 본예산안 규모는 일반·기타특별회계 8천216억3천352만원, 수도·하수도사업특별회계 888억9천734만7천원이다. 예산안 심의는 5일부터 17일까지 시의회 예산결산특별위원회에서 진행된다. 김 의장은 "2025년 마지막 회기이지만 2026년 예산안 심의로 새해 시 행정의 첫 관문이다"며 "헛되게 쓰이는 시민 세금이 없도록 안건 심의를 꼼꼼히 하겠다"고 말했다.
의원별 발의 자치법규는 신금자 의원 3건(군포시 시민공론장 활성화 지원 조례안 등), 신경원 의원 4건(군포도시공사 설립 운영 조례 일부개정안 등), 이혜승 의원 4건(군포시 시민참여 예산감시단 설치 운영 조례안 등)이다. 이우천 의원 1건(군포시 지역언론 발전 지원 조례안), 이훈미 의원 1건(군포시 청소년 칭찬 조례 전부개정안), 이동한 의원 1건(군포시 아동급식 지원 조례 일부개정안), 박상현 의원 1건(군포시 수도급수 조례 일부개정안)을 발의했다. 3일과 4일 양일간 상임위원회(행정복지, 산업건설)에서 35건 안건을 처리한다. 시의회 공식 누리집(gunpocouncil.go.kr)과 유튜브 채널(youtube.com/@gunpocouncil)에서 회의 영상을 실시간으로 시청할 수 있다. 김 의장은 "경부선·안산선 철도 지하화 추진, 신도심 정비, 기존도심 재개발 등 군포 미래를 좌우할 중요 사업들이 원활히 추진되도록 적극 지원하려 한다"고 밝혔다. 시의회는 정례회 기간 중 2일 휴회해 지역 내 6개소 주요 시책 사업장을 방문, 현황을 직접 점검한다.

Gunpo City Council held its 285th regular session on December 1st. Council Speaker Kim Gui-geun presided over the session. The regular session operates from December 1st through 18th. The session reviews the 2026 fiscal budget plan totaling 910.5 billion won and 35 ordinances and other agenda items, including 15 ordinances proposed by council members.
The 2026 budget plan totals 821.63 billion won for general and other special accounts and 88.89 billion won for water supply and sewage business special accounts. Budget review proceeds from December 5th through 17th in the Council's Budget and Settlement Special Committee. Speaker Kim stated, "Though this is the final session of 2025, the review of the 2026 budget plan serves as the first gateway to the city's administration in the new year," adding "we will carefully review agenda items to ensure public funds are not wasted."
Council member-proposed ordinances include 3 bills from Shin Geum-ja (including ordinance supporting activation of Gunpo City Citizen Forum), 4 bills from Shin Gyeong-won (including partial revision of Gunpo Urban Development Corporation establishment and operation ordinance), and 4 bills from Lee Hye-seung (including ordinance establishing and operating Gunpo City Citizen Budget Oversight Committee). Council member Lee Woo-cheon proposed 1 bill (ordinance supporting regional media development), Lee Hun-mi proposed 1 bill (complete revision of Gunpo City Youth Praise Ordinance), Lee Dong-han proposed 1 bill (partial revision of ordinance on child meal support), and Park Sang-hyun proposed 1 bill (partial revision of Gunpo City Water Supply Ordinance). Standing committees (Administrative Welfare and Industry/Construction) handle all 35 agenda items on December 3rd and 4th. Speaker Kim stated, "The council actively supports smooth implementation of major projects that will shape Gunpo's future, including the Gyeongbu and Ansan railway underground project, new town development, and redevelopment of existing downtown areas." During the regular session, the council takes a 2-day recess to visit 6 major policy project sites in the region and directly inspect current conditions.
